In the new tube integrated amplifier CTA407, Copland promises an output power of 2x50 W in Class-A / AB mode in its push-pull output stages. According to the manufacturer, it could offer a higher power, but is moderated so that it can operate in Class-A with low distortion. As inputs, the integrated amplifier carries five RCA jacks, one of which belongs to the tape monitor loop, which is also built in. In addition, Copland's new device carries an integrated phono preamplifier that can work with signals from MM as well as high-output MC cartridges.
The Copland CTA407 is equipped with four KT88 tubes, as well as two 12BH7 and one ECC83. To adapt to these as well as other tubes, the amplifier carries an automatic tube bias and diagnostic system, which indicates its work through the LEDs on the front of the unit. The CTA407 is also controllable via remote control.
Copland's new CTA407 integrated tube amplifier is available in silver and black at an MSRP of €6,900 in Germany.
