Ferrum's "Power Splitter" has the task of distributing the power given out by the "Hypsos" external upgrade power supply unit to two devices at the same time. The two devices, which are now supplied by one PSU, are supposed to then benefit equally from the advantages offered by the Hypsos unit.
According to Ferrum, the prerequisite for operating two devices simultaneously is that they have similar input values in terms of voltage and polarity. The appropriate values can be selected directly in the Hypsos PSU. Also, both devices together should have a maximum power consumption of 80 W, and the mark of 6 A should not be exceeded. The Ferrum Power Link carries an input for Ferrum's in-house 4-pin Power Link connector, as well as two outputs for powering the connected devices.
The Ferrum Power Splitter comes including a 0.5m Power Link cable from Ferrum at a price of about €250 in Germany.
