Hypsos is a hybrid PSU, designed to combine the best aspects of linear and switching power supplies, which is supposed to result in low ripple and noise as well as fast transient response and high efficiency. The compact PSU, made from Corten steel and equipped with a matching black anodized aluminum front panel can power most hi-fi components with a DC input.
The setup is said to be exceptionally easy thanks to software-driven operation and a display that shows relevant information. The power supply comes with a high-quality DC cable that is fitted to order.
The manufacturer Ferrum was founded in early 2020 near Warsaw, Poland, and is part of the company HEM, which has been working in audio technology for over 20 years, including as European distributor and partner of Mytek and Clarus Cables.
According to the manufacturer, the Ferrum Hybrid power supply measures 21.7x20.6x5 cm (WxDxH), and is said to cost 995 Euros*. It has an AC input of 100 ~ 240V and DC output of 5 ~ 30V.
