The actual, ported floorstanding speaker Heco Aurora 900 works with a Fluctus tweeter featuring a 28 mm fabric dome and computer-optimized waveguide. In addition, as is typical for the manufacturer, Heco "kraft paper cones" are used for the 17 cm midrange driver and both 17 cm woofers. Separation is stated to be at 290 and 3,300 hertz, the coax driver sets in at 8,500 hertz. Efficiency is claimed to be at 91 dB (main speaker) and 88 dB (Dolby Atmos coax driver).
Wood veneers, along with silky matte baffles, are said to provide a timeless, ambience-friendly design. Of course, the 900 AM is supposed to fit with the entire Aurora range for stereo and home theater speakers visually as well as acoustically. Available in ebony black and ivory white, the Aurora 900 AM weighs just under 23 kilograms, measures 122 centimeters in height and has an MSRP of around 900 euros in Germany.
