Musical Fidelity Shows 7-Channel Power Amp M6x 250.7

Musical Fidelity's new M6x 250.7 power amplifier is primarily designed for the home theater, where it can power up to seven speakers.

According to the manufacturer, the Musical Fidelity M6x 250.7 basically consists of seven individual Class A/B power amplifiers, each of which is said to offer a power of 250 watts (4 ohms). Thus, the amplifier carries seven RCA inputs and just as many speaker outputs on the back. Each channel can also be connected via XLR; or output its signal again via RCA, so that it can be further amplified via bi-amping, for example.

The 7-channel home theater power amplifier also features a special heat sink design, which, as stated by Musical Fidelity, means that no further cooling is required, as well as the "Super Silent Audiophile Power Transformer", which is supposed to ensure particularly high dynamics, among other things. As part of Musical Fidelity's new M6x series of multi-channel amplifiers, the M6x 250.7 is expected to cost around €3500 in Germany.
