Thanks to the new "Proteus" X1 FPGA co-processor, among other things, the new Aries and Vega G3 devices are supposed to be about eight times faster than their predecessors. They are also hardware ready for room correction and come with HDMI eArc connections.
On the Vega – a streaming DAC – the converter has also been improved, which is said to have resulted in a 30% reduction in distortion and a 50% improvement in the dynamic range.
The G3 models are manufactured at the Auralic factory in the USA.
