With tantalum woofer and ribbon tweeter

Raidho Presents new Floorstanding Speakers X2t

In the new X2t speakers from Raidho, tantalum as diaphragm material in the drivers is supposed to bring significant sonic improvements at a relatively moderate price.

The Danish loudspeaker manufacturer Raidho wants to surpass the sound quality of older and up to twice as expensive earlier models with the new 2.5 way ported speaker X2t, as stated by the manufacturer. In addition to the ribbon tweeter – hand-made by Raidho and equipped with an ultralight diaphragm –, the bass drivers coated with the extremely light and hard metal tantalum are said to contribute to that goal. A crossover equipped with high-quality components and expensive Nordost Valhalla cables for internal wiring are furthermore stated to aid in that.

Coupling to the floor is realized with steel balls integrated into the feet; spikes are thus supposed to become unnecessary. The overall sound tuning has also been completely revised. The manufacturer specifies the sensitivity at 87 dB and the recommended amplifier power at 50 watts or above.

The 106-centimeter-high, slim floorstanding speaker weighs 23 kilos per piece. The speakers are available in piano black or birdseye maple as standard, with other finishes coming at an extra cost. The pair price of the speakers is € 14,000 in Germany.
