The new sound adjustment feature is part of an update for Sennheiser's "Smart Control" app, and available on the Momentum True Wireless 3 and Momentum 4 Wireless headphones. Furthermore, the update includes an extension of the already existing equalizer and some more features.
The new "Sound Personalization" technology was developed by Sennheiser in collaboration with the branch Hearing, Speech and Audio Technology HSA at the German Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT and is intended to provide highly personalized sound. To achieve this, the program analyzes, among other things, the user's reaction to various sound samples and provides the option to further customize the result. This is intended to create a personal sound profile that offers a sound adapted to the listener's taste across all volume levels.
