For 40 years, the Canadian company Moon has been building hi-fi devices, and has earned an excellent reputation among music lovers and high-end fans.
Now, they launch the first speakers in the company's history – the 2-way standmount speaker "Voice 22". It is equipped with a 29 millimeter soft dome tweeter, whose sound distribution is controlled by a waveguide, as well as a 155 mm woofer. With a stated sensitivity of 89dB and an impedance of 6 ohms, it aims to not be too difficult for amplifiers to handle.
The designers of the Voice 22 praise the speakers as offering a wide soundstage, detailed sound, and a surprisingly profound as well as clean reproduction of low frequency sounds. According to the manufacturer, the Voice 22 feel at home on any solid surface, but work particularly well on the specially developed stands, which are available separately. The included decoupling base – called "Hover Base" –, which is attached to the bottom of the speakers is also said to reduce unwanted vibrations.
The loudpseakers are available in black or white, and the grilles adhere magnetically. The custom Voice 22 stands are made of powder-coated stainless steel and have a matte black finish to match the speakers. The included spikes and rubber feet aim to guarantee stability. The pair price of the speakers is €3000*, the stands cost €480* per pair.
