French manufacturer YBA is adding an integrated amplifier with built-in network player and USB DAC to its "Heritage" series. It offers access to Tidal, Spotify, Qobuz and Deezer via LAN or WLAN, and it can process PCM files up to 32 bit/384 kHz and DSD up to 5.6 MHz via its USB-B port. Two AKM AK4495SEQ chips act as DAC chips. Local files from sticks or hard disks connected to one of the two USB-A sockets can be navigated by album, artist, etc. Airplay and Bluetooth (also LDAC) are also supported. In addition to optical and coax S/PDIF input, two line and one phono input are available. The integrated amplifier draws its power (2x100 Watts into 8 Ohm) from a linear power supply. The R100 is operated via the 13 cm wide touchscreen on the front – an app is still being worked on. The device will be available in the course of February in black or silver for 4000 Euros.
