Update for AV- and Stereo-Receiver

Alexa for Onkyo and Pioneer

The firmware update enables voice control of compatible AV components via devices with integrated Alexa technology.

Onkyo & Pioneer Corporation has released a firmware update for selected network components. With speakers such as Amazon's "Echo" models connected to the Onkyo or Pioneer component, users can enjoy various music and audio services via voice control. The update is available for Onkyo's TX-RZ840, TX-RZ740, TX-NR696 and TX-8390 models as well as Pioneer's SC-LX904, SC-LX704, VSX-LX504 and VSX-LX304 network AV receivers. It can be downloaded and installed directly to the components via the user menu when they are connected to the network. Otherwise, it can be downloaded from the Onkyo or Pioneer website to a USB stick and installed via the receiver's USB input.
