New Start for Onkyo and Pioneer

Devices from Pioneer and Onkyo were practically sold out lately. With production and distribution now handled by Voxx and Sharp, they are supposed to become available again this Fall.

In September 2021, the USA-based Voxx Group, together with Sharp, had acquired Onkyo's home entertainment business – with all intellectual property rights, product development, sales and marketing. At the same time, Voxx had signed a licensing and distribution agreement with the Pioneer Corporation. The devices branded with Onkyo and Pioneer are now manufactured by Sharp. Production there has now been increased again.

Voxx has combined its hi-fi business into the newly founded "Premium Audio Company". In addition to Onkyo and Pioneer, this includes brands such as Klipsch, Jamo, Mirage, Magnat, Heco, Mac Audio, Teac and Esoteric.
