Marantz's reference-class 15.4-channel 8K AV preamp/processor "AV 10" is said to deliver premium video quality as well as captivating 3D sound thanks to the latest AV formats. For power amplification, the AV 10 can be combined with the Marantz AMP 10, a reference-class 16-channel 200-watt power amplifier with what Marantz states to be the company's most advanced and sophisticated amplifier architecture to date.
With HDAM modules, current feedback and popular 3D formats such as Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X®, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D, HEOS streaming technology, a phono stage as well as the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room correction, the new Marantz AV 10 aims to offer a wide range of equipment. It is however also said to be particularly easy to setup. An optional, paid upgrade to the Dirac Live room correction is also possible.
The corresponding power amplifier AMP 10 carries newly developed Class D amplification with 16 (!) configurable and – for BTL operation – bridgeable channels and a stated output power of 200 watts at 8 and 400 watts at 4 ohms. Bi-amping is also possible.
The new Marantz AV-Devices AV 10 and AMP 10 are available immediately for 7,000 euros each in Germany.
