The compact cube with an edge length of just 21 cm is equipped with two tweeters, two mid-range drivers and one woofer, whose interaction is optimized via DSP and which are each powered by their own amplifiers with a total of 300 watts. The sound can even be adapted to the room acoustics. The Mu-so Qb 2 is controlled via a touchpad on the top, which not only controls start/stop, skip and volume, but can also be used to select the input or integrate the Mu-so Qb 2 into a multiroom system with other Naim components. Alternatively, one can use the Naim app, which displays numerous additional information, or the included remote control. The new streaming platform is the same as in all other network-capable Naim models. It supports Airplay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal and, thanks to Chromecast built-in, other streaming services such as Qobuz or Deezer. The Qb 2 accepts music from the home network via LAN or WLAN with PCM sampling rates up to 384 kHz via UPnP or Roon-ready. Further interfaces are Bluetooth, USB-A for external storage devices, S/PDIF optical and an analogue mini jack input. The cover can be replaced – it is available in black, terracotta, olive and peacock blue. The Mu-so Qb 2 can now change owners in specialist shops for 850 euros.
