Joachim Gerhard, a household name among hi-fi fans since his time as developer and owner of Audio Physic, has developed a new speaker for about 70,000 euros pair price with his current company, Suesskind Audio. The Kronos MK2 has been designed explicitly for large rooms and is stated to reproduce a particularly deep, substantial and clean bass range thanks to the special "AirBass 2 system".
The Beryllium midrange drivers and tweeter, which operate as dipole units, are said to provide extremely high resolution, detail and soundstage. Efficiency is stated at 91 decibels, and the speaker's impedance at 8 ohms.
The pair price of the new Kronos MK2 speakers from Suesskind Audio is said to be €68,000 in Germany.
