Until now, this technology has only been used in large floorstanding speakers, such as the "Cardeas". The special feature therein is the "HHCM SL" midrange driver, which works completely without a centering spider. Also adopted from the Cardeas is the multi-sandwich cabinet technology with a honeycomb construction on the inside of the speaker. With its three-way configuration (18 cm woofer, 15 cm midrange, 4 cm tweeter), the Spark closes the gap between standmount and floorstanding speakers and offers extensive freedom in positioning.
The new speakers are just under 50 cm high, around 20 cm wide and 37 cm deep; due to the angled shape, however, it requires a 43 cm deep footprint when placed in front of a wall. the placement is also said to be better when on speaker stands such as Audio Physics "Sherpa M" with special decoupling feet.
The Spark costs 6000 euros per pair* in black glass and white high-gloss finishes. The optional stands cost 500 euros per pair*.
