On September 1 and 2, 2022, a who's who of leading European vinyl producers will gather in the Capitoal in Offenbach, Germany, which is a majestic theater close to Frankfurt, for the "Making Vinyl Europe & Physical Media World Conference".
Speakers from Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Israel, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Slovakia, Poland, the Netherlands, Ireland and the United Kingdom will discuss technological innovations to make vinyl more efficient and sustainable, as well as the unexpected, recent rise in demand for CDs. On the first day of the conference, September 1, the program will start at 10 a.m. (local time) with a panel discussion featuring leading actors from all over the value chain. Their talk is said to focus on how the industry can meet the huge consumer demand despite significant raw material shortages and price increases in the supply chain.
Furthermore, the latest information will be provided on the expansion of manufacturing capacity through existing pressing plants as well as recently opened facilities, which are widely spread across Europe. Several contrarian viewpoints are also expected on the topic of whether the promising forecasts for vinyl may have reached a tipping point.
The purely B2B event will be held completely in English. Following it, the well-known "Riviera Festival Offenbach", will take place, which offers a consumer-oriented pop, club culture and music festival in German seperate from the conference. It starts with an integrated conference part and continues with cultural program until Sunday. The Riviera is aimed, among others, at musicians and venue operators who cater to their audiences.
The Making Vinyl Europe & Physical Media World Conference opens at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, with an optional reception. Participation in the affiliated Riviera Music Festival program is included in the tickets.
