The small streaming bridge accepts signals from streaming services or from the home network via LAN socket or WLAN with up to 24 bit / 192 kHz. There are just digital outputs in S/PDIF optical and coax. The device is operated via the App. Thanks to Chromecast built-in, virtually all streaming services can be used. If you want to play music from your smartphone, you can do so via Airplay 2 or Bluetooth. With a firmware update, the NP5 should even become Roon-ready. Older Primare components can be connected to the NP5 via the RS-232 interface to control volume and input selection from the app. Owners of such devices even get the NP5 for half the price.
