It is still equipped with a pickup, built-in and switchable phono preamplifier and a USB interface that allows easy digitization of records.
However, the RT200 is now driven by a quartz direct drive instead of the belt used previously. In place of aluminum, the tonearm is now made from low-resonance carbon with improved bearings, on which an ATN-95 pickup with an elliptical needle replaces the previously used ATN-3600L with a spherical cut. The rubber mat is also both thicker and heavier and is decorated with a Roberts inscription.
The new RT200 has also been visually redesigned and now features an aluminum front and metal decorations on the feet, for example.
The Roberts Radio RT200 turntable costs around 450 Euros in Germany.
