The UR22C model for 190 euros is the most suitable for stereo operation. It offers 2 analog combo inputs with XLR sockets for microphones (with switchable phantom power) and balanced jack sockets for line sources. The analog output signal is also available at balanced jack sockets on the rear panel. A/D and D/A conversion is performed with up to 32 bits and 192 kHz clockrate. Effects such as reverb, guitar amp classics, etc. can be looped in on the Mac (from macOS Sierra) as well as on the PC (from Windows 7 with 64 bit) thanks to the supplied VST-3 and AU plug-ins. Steinberg recommends an Intel processor from i5 as CPU. In "Class Compliant Mode", the UR22C also runs on iOS devices (from iOS 10). The price includes the "dspMixFx" editor software for Windows, macOS and iOS as well as Cubase AI for download and Cubasis LE for iPad. The UR22C comes in a 16 cm wide metal housing and is available from the Steinberg online shop or from specialist dealers - optionally as a "UR22C Recording Pack" with condenser microphone and headphones for 290 Euro. For musicians who need more than two inputs, the UR44C is available for 380 Euro.
