Phono-Preamp with A/D-converter

| UW

Unison Research from Italy introduces a phono preamplifier with integrated A/D converter, which digitizes the vinyl signals in high resolution (up to 24/96) and outputs them via USB or S/PDIF coaxial or optical.

The conversion is done with a chip from Cirrus Logic. At the same time, the "uPhono+" serves as a headphone amplifier whose volume is adjusted on an Alps "Blue Velvet" potentiometer. Fixed and variable levels are output via the rear RCA sockets. For MM pickups, five capacities can be set, for MC systems 7 input resistances and amplification in 2 stages. A subsonic filter can also be switched on. To avoid interference of the sensitive phono signals by the digital circuits, Unison Research has installed separate power supplies for the analog and digital sections. The 22 cm wide unit is available with a black or silver housing with cherry-coloured applications at a price of 900 euros.
