Foundation for a new series

Manual Turntable Dual CS 800

News from St. Georgen in southern Germany: Dual has announced a newly developed manual turntable with subchassis for 1200 Euro.

The CS 800 combines a heavy MDF base with a floating sub-chassis in a slim cabinet. The aluminum platter is damped and covered with antistatic felt. It is driven at 33 or 45 rpm via belts by a DC motor with electronic speed control. LEDs indicate the currently set speed. The tracking force is set without weight by a torsion spring. The Ortofon 2M Red pick-up system is pre-mounted in the carbon-fibre composite headshell. A dust cover is also included in the scope of delivery. Dual is launching a new model series with the CS 800.
