For the first time, Audeze is abandoning their rather archaic design of the LCD models and presents headphones that correspond to recent design trends. At 250 grams, the LCD-1 is not only much lighter but can also be folded. Also the headband of the previous models has been replaced by a padded one. Unlike most other mobile headphones, however, the backs of the earcups are open, and the oval cushions filled with memory foam completely enclose the ears. Like all Audeze LCD models, the LCD-1 is designed and built in the USA. It is available now and costs 450 Euro complete with transport case.
