The new brand Axxess is intended to open up the world of the Audio Group Denmark – the manufacturer behind the brands Aavik, Ansuz and Børresen – to a wider audience. The future products from Axxess – the manufacturer lists speakers, amplifiers and cables – are said to offer the qualities of the three other Audio Group Denmark brands at a smaller price. Important technologies and designs of the more expensive products are thus to be incorporated into devices from Axxess. The first component of the new brand is the Forté streaming integrated amplifier, which is available in three versions.
The new Axxess Forté is said to provide high versatility, among other things, being an integrated amplifier with a built-in streamer, DAC, as well as a Class A headphone amplifier. The three versions, Forté 1, 2, and 3, differ mainly in how many special noise-canceling components are included in the units, such as the "Tesla coils" from sister brand Ansuz. Furthermore, the top as well as the bottom of the Forté are said to be made of the same special material used in the current Aavik amplifiers, which is supposed to reduce mechanical influences.
According to the manufacturer, other parts of the Axxess Forté integrated amplifier are also inspired by Aavik products, such as the streaming module or the amplifier section. In the latter, the "UMAC™" amplifier technology is said to offer a very good damping factor, less noise and higher precision. The power supply is also stated to be optimized, offering low noise and increased power when needed. All versions of the Axxess Forté carry one analog RCA input, as well as digital inputs in USB, optical and coaxial.
All versions of the new Axxess Forté amplifier are scheduled to be available in May, at the following prices (MSRP):
Axxess Forté 1: €5,000 / $5.500
Axxess Forté 2: €7,500 / $8.000
Axxess Forté 3: €10,000 / $11.000
