At the High End Audio Show in Munich, Revel already showed two beryllium models from the new PerformaBe series, the F228Be 3-way dual 8-inch floorstanding loudspeaker and the M126Be bookshelf speaker.
The new F328Be now stands as the flagship of the Beryllium series and features a newly developed 1-inch beryllium tweeter with a vented pole core and a much larger ferrite motor structure that is said to offer improved dynamics and higher overall performance. The tweeter also has a new sixth-generation acoustic lens waveguide that is supposed to provide controlled directness and seamless integration with the midrange driver. A dedicated 5.25-inch Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) midrange driver and a triple 8-inch DCC woofer round out the design. The woofers employ a bass-reflex design with dual rear-firing tuned ports.
As the smallest of the floorstanding speakers with beryllium, the new F226Be features a pair of 6.5-inch DCC cone woofers. These are complemented by the obligatory beryllium tweeter and a 5.25-inch DCC midrange driver.
The C426Be is now also the first dedicated center speaker in the Performa Beryllium series. Four 6.5-inch woofers, using a bass-reflex design, provide the basis of the sound. Four adjustable feet allow the C426Be to be properly positioned when placed directly on a shelf. Alternatively, an optional stand is also available.
All Performa Beryllium models feature a grille of black fabric material which is magnetically attached. The speakers are available in four glossy wood finishes or with car-grade lacquered finishes, each at no additional charge in walnut, black, white and metallic silver.
The flagship F328Be floorstanding speaker is offered with an MSRP of 9,000 Euros per unit. The F228Be and F226Be floorstanders are available with a recommended retail price of 5,200 Euros and 3,800 Euros per unit, respectively. The MSRP for the M126Be bookshelf speakers is 2,200 Euros per unit. The C426Be center speaker has an MSRP of 4,500 Euros.
