New Top Subwoofers Coming From Paradigm

The active and well-equipped subwoofers XR11 and XR13 represent the current flagship level of the North American manufacturer Paradigm.

While the 29kg model XR11 (Dimensions: 41.2 x 38.8 x 42.9 cm) has a long-stroke driver with about 280cm in diameter and 1,100 watts Class D continuous power, the larger, 47kg model XR13 (Dimensions: 47.8 x 43.8 x 49.3 cm) even comes with a 330mm woofer and 2,200 watts; according to the manufacturer, lower cut-off frequencies of 20 and 17 Hertz (-3 dB) are achieved, which according to DIN would be 14 and 12 Hertz.

For reasons of maximum precision and stability, the subwoofers work with closed, stiffened housings equipped with non-parallel walls and coming with highest-quality finish. Both are controllable via app and also equipped with the powerful room correction system "ARC Genesis" from Anthem including a microphone to ensure the best possible adaptation to the exterior conditions.

Both models can be fed via RCA or high-level speaker inputs each in mono/stereo or an XLR input (LFE). The retail price (for Germany, incl. VAT) of the two models available immediately in high-gloss black as well as three different wood finishes is stated to be €5,480 (XR11) and €6,990 for the XR13.
