Highest-quality digital-to-analog conversion – done by an ESS Sabre 9026 Pro DAC chip – paired with high quality analog technologies are said to propel the new Yamaha 2000 series forward. The design is reminiscent of famous hi-fi classics from Yamaha and aims to provide an excellent visual addition to any room. On the technological side, top-class features are promised. The powerful receiver offers the "YPAO" room calibration feature, tried and tested in the A/V sector, MusicCast streaming, Wi-Fi, Airplay 2 and Bluetooth 4.2, and aims to provide a feast for the eyes as well as the ears with its complex design featuring a toroidal transformer and VU meter.
The also new three-way speaker NS-2000A wants to score with membranes made of Zylon and spruce wood while the insides are supposed to be freed of resonances via a setup similar to a Helmholtz resonator. The R-N2000A receiver and NS-2000A floorstanding speakers are said to be available towards the end of 2022 in Germany, while the final prices have not yet been announced.
