Rega io: Integrated Amp for 500 Euros

| UW

The Rega io integrated amp sports a phono-input and 2x30 watts into 8 Ohm.

British understatement has always expressed itself in simple design, compact dimensions and restrained performance specifications. Rega is now adding restraint in terms of price: the new integrated amplifier is simply called "io". The only 18 cm wide amp is manufactured in England and yet costs only 500 Euros, complete with remote control. In addition to the phono MM input, it offers connections for two line sources, a pair of speakers and headphones. Inside there is a toroidal transformer and a motor poti from Alps. Power amplifier and phono stage were taken from the bigger brother Brio. The Rega io should hit the market between April and May.
