The Norwegians present a top power amplifier with the AW800M, which stands out with high performance and unusual flexibility, and is said to carry and upgrade the typical sound quality of Electrocompaniet.

In stereo mode 2x 300/600/1000 watts output power at 8/4/2 ohms, mono 800/1500/2200 watts and additionally a bi-amping (connection) mode – that is what the power amplifier AW800M from Norwegian manufacturer Electrocompaniet is said to bring to the table. Weighing in at 55 kilograms, the amp is also supposed to employ a transistor circuitry that is extremely low-distortion as well as fast (up to 1.1 MHz, filtered 220 kHz according to the manufacturer).

The new ultimate "AW800M" power amp is said to come at a cost of around 24,000 euros in Germany.
