Featuring Revised Drivers and Cabinet Design

T+A Pulsar R 21 Bookshelf Speakers

The Pulsar R 21 bookshelf loudspeaker – an improved version of the R 20 – is the newest addition to the Pulsar 21 series of German hi-fi specialist T+A elektroakustik.

The new R 21 adopts many features of the ST 21 floorstanding loudspeaker and transfers them to the compact form of a bookshelf speaker.

Concerning the visuals, the designers of the family-owned company in Herford, Western Germany, want to emphasize this proximity to the ST 21. Both speakers are characterized by the clear, linear design with distinctive beveled edges. For finishes, customers have the choice between a matte black box and a mix of white cabinet and black drivers.

In technological department, the R 21 is a fundamental evolution of its predecessor. The absolutely smooth design of the cabinet and baffle is intended to effectively prevent annoying reflections. No screws interfere with the distribution of sound. In addition to the cabinet design, T+A has also revised the drivers. Thanks to modified oscillating parts, magnet systems and membranes, the new R 21 is supposed to have gained even more linearity, dynamics and playfulness.

The new R 21 are available immediately* and cost €1,400 per pair MSRP*.
