Now with AAC, FLAC and WAV

Yamaha's new CD Player CD-S 303

The player can now also play lossless formats up to 96 kHz / 24 bit via the USB-A port on the front of the device.

The player accepts MP3, WMA and AAC files from USB sticks or hard drives at up to 320 kbps. Inside of the device, a 192 kHz/24 bit D/A converter is to be found. Carried over from its predecessor, the CD-S 300, are the separate power supplies for the motor drive and digital and analog modules, as well as the Pure Direct circuitry, which switches off the display and the coaxial and optical digital outputs at the touch of a button to eliminate sources of potential interferences.

In Germany, the new player is available now with aluminum front panel in black or silver for 350 euros.
