Assuming a CD with 16 bit resolution and 44.1 kilohertz sampling rate, this is a quite high standard, clearly above the usual MP3 data rates. From or even above this standard one speaks of high-resolution or "Hi-Res" for short. Streaming services and specialized download portals offer music in these higher quality formats such as 24 bit / 96 or 192 Klohertz. Also the bitstream format DSD is potentially qualitatively much higher than CD quality and belongs to the "Hi-Res" formats.
