With the Stellar M1200, PS Audio brings a mono power amplifier that wants to combine the sound character of tubes with the high power output of Class D.
In the power amplifiers developed by Darren Meyers, tubes of the type 12AU7 are used in the input stage. The actual amplification is then provided by a powerful Class D module with MOSFET output stage, which delivers at least 600 watts into 8 ohms and twice as much into 4 ohms. One XLR and RCA input each and two pairs of loudspeaker terminals are available per unit. The PS Audio Stellar M1200 mono power amplifiers are available immediately and cost around 7,400 Euros*.
