In the 600 Euro uro class, AV receivers have traditionally always been wonders of price and equipment. Denon has now added a DAB+ tuner to the AVR-X1600H, raising the price from 580 to 600 euros. According to the data sheet, the 7 power amplifiers of the AVR-X1600H DAB each provide 145 watts (1 channel operated), and the "Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization" technology creates virtual height effects even via conventional 2.1 or 5.1 speaker configurations. Via LAN or WLAN, the receiver accepts HiRes audio up to 24 bit / 192 kHz in all PCM formats and DSD bit streams up to 5.6 MHz and converts them with the AKM AK4458 DAC chip. Thanks to "HEOS Built-in" it can be integrated into multi-room systems, and via the Internet it can access Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music HD and Tidal. Airplay 2 and voice control are also supported. The AVR-X1600H DAB can not only receive Bluetooth signals, but also send them to wireless headphones. In addition to numerous HDMI and S/PDIF ports, there are also two line inputs and one phono input on board.
