JBL's new Integrated Amplifier SA750 and "Classic 75": Limited Edition of the L100

For the brand's 75th anniversary, JBL presents a completely new integrated amplifier with a classic look, as well as a limited edition of the L100 speaker called "L100 Classic 75".

On the retro-inspired aluminum front panel of the new JBL SA750 integrated amplifier, the high-quality controls are placed. Here, you can regulate volume, balance, and select inputs, as well as find the switches for power, mute, direct, MC/MM phono, and Dirac Live room calibration. The control panel features a 3.5mm aux input and 3.5mm headphone output, as well as the 2-line orange display. The classical look is completed by side panels made from teak wood veneer that perfectly match the JBL L100 Classic 75 anniversary speakers.

The retro-chic design of the JBL SA750 is contrasted with modern Class G amplification and streaming protocols such as Google Chromecast and Apple Airplay 2. The SA750 also includes a high-resolution DAC, switchable MM/MC phono input, support for UPnP, as well as full MQA decoding. Additionally, it's Roon Ready and even supports Dirac Live room calibration.

51 years after the introduction of the legendary L100 Century speakers, a limited anniversary edition of the latest JBL L100 incarnation now also enters the market: the L100 Classic 75, featuring the iconic 1970s-style design: a black Quadrex foam grille and a distinctive teak wood veneer housing give the anniversary model its look. Visually, the new model is distinguished by the accentuated JBL logo in gold and black. The front and back are also adorned with additional badges containing the signature of speaker designer Chris Hagen, as well as the engraved serial number of the limited round of production. This amounts to only 750 pairs.

Acoustically, the L100 Classic 75 features an improved design of the suspension for the woofer and a revised connection terminal with bi-wiring capabilities and gold-plated binding posts.

The suggested retail price for the new JBL SA750 is €3,000*. The amplifier will be available starting in May 2021*. The JBL L100 Classic 75 will also be available in May 2021* for an MSRP of €5,750 per pair*. The speakers will be sold as matched pairs and a set of JS-120 floor stands will be included*. The speaker system is additionally delivered in a custom-made wooden case*.
