In the Omnium floorstanding loudspeaker, Wilson Benesch realizes its famous A.C.T. Monocoque frame out fully renewable materials for the first time. The novel bio-composite material – developed in collaboration with the European SSUCHY project – is said to offer outstanding acoustic properties that make the A.C.T. 3Zero frame many times more efficient while completely eliminating oil-based components, standing in contrast to its predecessor.
Even the synthetic resins used in previous carbon fiber designs have been replaced with natural resins. In meticulous development work, countless materials and fabric structures were analyzed, measured and tested. Finite element analyses helped optimize the flow properties of the resins and make the manufacturing process even more efficient. This is supposed to not only ensure an extremely uniform material structure, but also save up to 50 percent of energy compared to previous manufacturing methods.
Featuring a Fibonacci Hybrid tweeter, three Tactic 3.0 mid-bass drivers and three Isobaric Drive low-bass drivers, the Omnium's key technologies are sourced directly from Wilson Benesch's flagship Eminence.
In Germany, the Omnium from Wilson Benesch is available now, with an MSRP of €129,000 including VAT.
