Following the wireless "Callisto" speakers, DALI now launches two more active loudspeakers: the Rubicon 2C (2000 Euro/unit) and 6C (2800 Euro/unit) offer the same chassis assembly in the same enclosures as the passive Rubicons, but are equipped with the Class D amplifiers and radio receivers already used in the Callisto series and can be digitally controlled from the optional Sound Hub (650 Euro). A resolution of 24 bit / 96 kHz is transmitted. Various analogue and digital sources can be connected to the Sound Hub, including Bluetooth with AAC and aptX HD. One can further add an optional BluOS plug-in module for 500 euros to the Sound Hub, allowing to access music in the home network or music streaming services via LAN or WLAN and to integrate the loudspeakers into a Bluesound multi-room system if desired. The volume is adjusted at the Sound Hub or via the remote control supplied as standard with LEDs on the speaker fronts indicating the current level. The Rubicon C models are now available in high-gloss black or white or with real walnut wood veneer.
