Oberon 1 C, 7 C and On-Wall C

DALI's new Active and Wireless Oberon-Series

After DALI had already activated the Rubicon 6 and 2, based on the wireless Callisto series, now follow the more affordable models Oberon 1, Oberon 7 and Oberon On-Wall. The new active models are distinguished from their passive siblings by a "C" at the end of their product name.

DALI's new Oberon C system, consisting of two active speakers and the Sound Hub Compact, is designed to be very easy to use and does (almost) everything wirelessly and automatically.

The new series was developed especially for music fans who want to stream music from their smartphone to two speakers with uncomplicated operation, as well as for TV viewers who want to enjoy the sound of TV in their living room. The latter find a perfect solution with a pair of Oberon On-Wall C speakers suspended next to the screen and the TV set connected to the Sound Hub via HDMI.

The cabinet and chassis have been taken from the corresponding sister models of the passive Oberon series, the two 50-watt amplifiers and DSPs integrated in each loudspeaker for distributing the audio signals to the tweeter and bass-midrange drivers, however, are new, as is the Sound Hub Compact. This preamplifier is only three centimeters high, so that it can also be hidden vertically behind a TV screen. Additionally the Sound Hub Compact features a Bluetooth module that understands the high-resolution codecs AAC, aptX® and aptX® HD, an HDMI ARC connector, analog and digital inputs for cable connection of existing hi-fi components as well as a digital radio system that wirelessly transmits the audio signals supplied to all inputs to the two loudspeakers in a high-resolution 24 bit / 96 kHz format.

By the way, the Sound Hub Compact can also be used with the wireless DALI loudspeakers of the Rubicon C and Callisto C series – just as the larger Sound Hub is compatible with the Oberon C models. Its BluOS expansion module integrates the Sound Hub into the home network via LAN or WLAN to stream radio stations and music directly from the Internet.

The system can be expanded with an optional active subwoofer that makes contact with the Sound Hub via an RCA cable.

The Oberon 1 C should cost around 1,000 Euros* per pair, the Oberon 7 C around 1,700 Euros* per pair, the Oberon On-Wall C around 1,200 Euros* per pair and the new Sound Hub Compact around 300 Euros*.
