New Parent Company?

Sound United intends to acquire Bowers & Wilkins

| UW

US company Sound United announced the "preliminary letter of intent to acquire Bowers & Wilkins".

Just 4 years ago, the highly respected British loudspeaker specialist was taken over by a US start-up called EVA Automation Inc. The new owner supported the company in the electronic development of their multiroom system "Formation".

Now Sound United has shown interest in acquiring the British hi-fi icon. However, nothing is final yet and negotiations are still in process.

In addition to Denon and Marantz, Sound United also includes the loudspeaker brands Polk Audio, Definitive Technology and Boston Acoustics as well as the electronics manufacturer Classé.
