The new Krane tonearm is designed to further improve the performance of Linn's entry-level turntable, especially when combined with the new "Karousel" bearing.
The new arm has been developed in cooperation with the renowned manufacturer Clearaudio and was designed specifically for Linn to ensure full compatibility with all Linn pickups and other related LP12 components and accessories.
The static-balanced design is assembled by hand from high quality, precision aluminum and stainless steel components and features a polished Tungsten and Sapphire vertical bearing with double horizontal ceramic bearings, which are both designed to be durable and provide very low friction.
The Krane tonearm features a scale for accurate VTA adjustment, a azimuth adjustment with fixed offset, and an adjustable headshell construction.
The two-piece aluminum headshell with the characteristic Linn 3-point design is the perfect complement to the "Adikt" moving magnet pickups. The design, easily adjustable, also allows the installation of all other Linn pickups and most third-party models.
The Krane tonearm is available as part of a full order of a Majik LP12 turntable and can be viewed at Linn dealers worldwide. All Linn dealers offer demonstrations with social distance and are ready to welcome you safely in their stores. However, it is recommended that you contact the dealer in advance as there may be local restrictions.
According to the manufacturer, the Majik LP12 with Karousel bearing, Krane tonearm and standard wood finish costs €3,450 without taxes. With special finish it costs €3.780 without taxes.
The Krane tonearm will be available in 2021 as an upgrade for owners of a Majik LP12.
